Maya Angelou was a renowned poet, author, and civil rights activist. She was best known for her memoir, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, which was the first nonfiction best seller written by a Black woman.
This winter rose candle was hand-poured by refugees in Maryland. The artwork on the outside of the 8oz candle was designed by Violet Red Studios in the DMV area.
