About the Product:
This whole-bean, dark roast coffee has notes of toffee, red cherries, and almond. Of Land and Women is a new Kula Project blend, committed to supporting female coffee farmers in Rwanda. This particular blend supports their current project of planting 1,000,000 coffee and shade trees in Rwanda by 2025.
Why it Matters:
Coffee-producing countries lose out on much of the money to be made in the coffee industry because they are not located at the end stages of the manufacturing process. This coffee is part of an entrepreneurship and business training program in Rwanda focused on putting more money from the coffee supply chain in the pocket of farmers.
